Write an ABC book of the American Revolution and the events leading to the conflict.

Your book should meet the following guidelines:

  1. Book Cover Design: This should reflect the contents of the book, and must include a title, a graphic, and the author’s name.

  2. There must be 26 pages (one for each letter of the alphabet).

  3. Each page needs a graphic to go with the letter.

  4. Each page needs an informative, accurate, well-written explanation.

  5. The final draft form must be either typed or in ink with proper grammar and correct spelling.

  6. Must be neat and creative.

Format Suggestion: Feel free to use Pages or even Keynote to make a digital ABC book. Remember, there is no need to print anything.

CAUTION: You may experience a form of writer’s block that is unique to this form of work - no information for a letter! Do not panic. If you look hard enough, there is something for even “X” and “Z”. Remember, this option covers the War as well as the events leading up to it. As long as whatever you choose has a “Z” or an “X” in it, I’ll accept it.

Refer to the rubric for how this will be graded.

There is one part to this project

What your project must have:

Helpful Links:

An Outline of American History: This is an online history textbook. Probably just as helpful as your book.

Digital History: This is another online history textbook, but it may be better than the above.

Liberty - The American Revolution: This is a great interactive web site through PBS.

American Memory, Library of Congress: Searching is difficult, but once you find what you’re looking for...Jackpot!

Important:

Any information or image/graphic taken from the web and used directly on/in your project must be cited. Possible consequences: loss of points or zero points for the entire project.
