THere are two parts to this project

What your project must have:

Helpful Links:

An Outline of American History: This is an online history textbook. Probably just as helpful as your book.

Digital History: This is another online history textbook, but it may be better than the above.

Liberty - The American Revolution: This is a great interactive web site through PBS.

American Memory, Library of Congress: Searching is difficult, but once you find what you’re looking for...Jackpot!

Important:

Any information or image/graphic taken from the web and used directly on/in your project must be cited. Possible consequences: loss of points or zero points for the entire project.

  1. 2.Compose a patriotic song

  2. Song must have an uplifting tone

  3. It should include actual events or people

  4. Consider telling the story of a battle to a tune or the story of a “hero” with lyrics

  5. It may be a combination of any events you have learned about

  6. It should be in a booklet with a cover that includes the title, composer, and includes a graphic.

  7. Final draft must be typed, have proper grammar, and correct spelling

Both of these must be typed. Feel free to adopt a style for your compositions by using fancy Pages or Keynote elements such as scripted fonts and graphic appeal as well.

Refer to the rubric for how this will be graded.
