You are going to compete for a (pretend) $400,000 grant to research altered states of consciousness (ASC). 

In your groups, choose one of the following ASCs:

  1. 1.Sleep and Dreams

  2. 2.Hypnosis

  3. 3.Biofeedback

  4. 4.Meditation

Prepare a presentation for the “board” awarding the grant.

Each presentation should include:

  1. •Description of the ASC with style and graphic design

  2. •Reasons for studying it further

  3. •A proposed research topic or project within your ASC

  4. •An explanation of why you want to study this topic or project

Use the materials provided, or more from home if necessary.  You will work on this today and tomorrow with presentations tomorrow.
