  1. -Algebra (1st hr only) is a co-taught class.  Mr. Cayo is the math teacher and I am the special ed co-teacher.

  2. -Mr. Cayo does most of the math instruction while I observe the instruction and the students to make sure students are learning the material.

Grading:

*Students have daily homework.  One-two times a week homework will be graded through a “Homework Quiz” (HQ).  We write 5 homework problems on the board, then students get about 10 minutes to find the problems in their homework, copy them step-by-step, and turn them in (Ex. 2-1, #5, 11; 2-2, #15, 22, 41).  Each problem is worth 5 points, making each HQ worth 25 points. (Therefore students should keep their homework organized-such as in a spiral that is brought to class every day.)

*Quizzes will be given during each chapter.

*Tests will be given at the end of each chapter.

*9 Week Assessments will be given at the end of each marking period.
